A royal fanfare for Selling Travel LAUNCH
talking shop party
A NEW ERA FOR TRAVEL TRADE TRAINING On September 1 we hosted a party to celebrate the fi rst issue of Selling Travel, which replaced the long-established and much-loved travel trade title, Selling Long Haul.
The event, hosted at The Penthouse Leicester Square, London, saw 150 travel industry friends of the magazine – representing tourist boards, hotel groups, tour operators and cruise lines – come together to see Selling Travel unveiled by a special guest: 'the Queen'!
'Her Majesty' cut the tape on the fi rst issue and
said: "One is very impressed!" Editor, Steve Hartridge, commented: “Our
coverage of long haul destinations will be as in-depth and far-reaching as it always has been but the new Selling Travel will be more inclusive. "Inspiring the travel trade will continue to be the
aim of Selling Travel, but the new name will better refl ect the worldwide reach of our content in print, online and in person at our trade training events."
