Walsall Engineering Group provide ‘Single Source Solutions’
& conveying solutions Stand E12
C
onveyor Systems Limited (CSL) is exhibiting a new compact sortation conveyor that features
activated roller belt technology that can divert/sort single or small numbers within a short foot print. This versatile modular technology can effectively handle a wide range of products, sorting bi-directionally at 30 & 90 degrees, merging and aligning items in order to increase efficiency, functionality and reduce costs. Depending on product size, high-speed bi-directional sort of above 100 ppm can be achieved. Exhibited also, the latest compact column design spiral elevator/lowerator with new “Super Grip” slat, - providing smooth continuous flow and high throughput of product (Up/Down) between different floor levels. Other equipment featured will be a range of conveyors including the latest energy efficient 24V non-contact accumulation conveyor (Zero Line Pressure/ZLP), which is ideal for transporting fragile, high value or irregular shaped products, providing smooth transfer and accumulation along with the advantage of non-contact queuing.

e sure to visit ABB's stand (F42) at The PPMA Show. Exhibiting with packaging system specialist
and ABB system integrator, RM Group UK Ltd, ABB will be showcasing key features of its IRB 460 robot, said to be the ‘fastest palletising robot in the world'.
This robot takes the lead in ABB's comprehensive
palletising suite and is capable of up to 2,190 cycles per hour, making it perfect for high-speed end-of-line palletising and bag palletising. The IRB 460 occupies 20 percent less floor space and runs 15 percent faster than its nearest rivals.
The stand will also include more information about
ABB's range of palletising robots, grippers, plus its easy-to-use programming software, RobotStudio Palletising PowerPac. Designed to make palletising simpler, faster and more efficient, this PC-based program allows users to configure, simulate and program ABB robots and grippers for palletising solutions, with little or no robot programming experience required.
An ABB system integrator, RM Group specialises in
the supply and manufacture of a wide range of manual & automated packaging systems. As well as ABB's IRB460, RM's stand will also feature its own range of manual bagging machines, palletising systems, bulk filling and material handling systems, plus its mobile packaging system.

launch new wraparound cartoning system
Kliklok International to
liklok International, one of the world’s leading packaging machinery manufacturers, is gearing up
to launch its new Certiwrap ELITE wraparound cartoning system at the PPMA Show 2014 (30th Sept – 2nd Oct) at the NEC, Birmingham. Attendees to stand E32 will be able to view live demonstrations of the new Certiwrap ELITE which is designed to handle the more complex meal trays, tubs or pot shapes – individually, in multi-packs or layered – in a wide range of formats. Capable of improving flexibility on the production line, the ELITE easily adapts to different pack styles making it ideal for full sleeves, wraparound sleeves and gusseted packs as well as upright shelf-ready display-style cartons. Thanks to a new modular design, the ELITE also enhances functionality and repeatability, helping manufacturers adapt to increasingly fast-paced market requirements. It features a choice of twin or triple arm carton feeders to improve handling and is designed to increase throughput rates on high-speed lines, being capable of packaging at speeds of up to 300 cartons per minute dependant on flight pitch.
