I love the setting of the ‘Wick Inn’ right at the ocean edge. It is equipped for both summer sun and winter storm watching, all rooms having fabulous ocean views, wet weather gear and fireplaces.

THE ARCHER, NEW YORK, THE US
1
The Archer, which opened in May this year, is a very central funky little boutique hotel with small rooms (some with Empire State Building views) and a fabulous rooftop bar. Shamefully, after more than 30 years in travel, I’ve never
been to New York and am incredibly excited to be going at last and looking forward to my first cocktail on the roof.

JAMAICA – THE PLACE TO STAY
Visitors are drawn to Jamaica for its beaches, grand hotels, luxury all-inclusive resorts and superb villas. Most are impressed with the sounds of reggae, the taste of jerk cooking and the warm, friendly smiles of the locals. Add to this, several world-class golf courses, charming old plantation houses and tiny villages dotted through the majestic Blue Mountains, (where they grow the best coffee in the world), all in a relaxed atmosphere and you’re jammin!
