Tool Presetter
Elbo Controlli E346 tool presetter is tailored specifi cally to customer’s requirements of a powerful tool measuring system at a reasonable price. This unit has a radial travel capac- ity of an X axis of 14.2" (360mm) and a Z axis of 18.1" (460 mm). The E346 has a base and column of natural granite that guarantees the least thermal expansion of all construction materials. Interchangeable rotat- ing spindle-holders with manual mechanical brak- ing of the spindle-holders rotation are available. The vision system for tool measuring includes a TFT 9" (229-mm) color touch screen with 110
mm × 200-mm image size and 25× magnifi cation. The unit comes with a standard cutting edge inspection feature to get a crystal clear image of the condition of the cutting edge before measuring the tool. Koma Precision Inc. Ph: 800-249-5662 Web site:

Automatic Circular Miter Saw
The OMP KR3 fully automatic circular miter saw is designed for production sawing applications requiring straight and miter cuts on bars, tubes and structural work pieces. The KR3’s upcut design provides a large cutting capacity of 8.5" (216 mm) and the ability to cut angles in the automatic cycle from 75° to the left to 60° from the right. The miter function is fully automatic and allows for multiple different angle cuts to be programmed within the same job. The OMP KR3’s saw head is hydraulically driven and controlled via a servo feed system

for precise control of the feed rate. The gear box is equipped with a hydraulic brake to ensure that all backlash is removed from the system, resulting in longer blade life and allowing for use of carbide or HSS saw blades. Pat Mooney Inc. Ph: 630-543-6222 Web site:

Automatic Bandsaw
New HBS A320 saw features a rigid and compact design, automatic material feed, a parts counter and a built-in coolant system. It incorporates infi nitely variable band speed and cutting force for optimum cutting results. The solid cast mono-
block construction of the saw frame ensures that the machine will produce straight cuts, and the blade guides and rollers are carbide to promote longevity. The saw also offers hydro- mechanical blade tension and an automatic band breakage detection and shut-off feature. Kaast Machine Tools Ph: 224-216-8886 Web site:

Five-Axis Precision Machining Heckert HEC 800 X5 MT is a fi ve-axis machining center with an 800 × 800-mm pallet with a rapid rotation table for turning. MT refers to the rapid rotation table and X5 to the weighing table, a combination that produces a fi ve-axis machining cen- ter for effi cient complete machining of complex workpieces on a single machine. Production accuracy of 7 μm is achieved even when changing between rough machining and fi nishing. Rapid traverse in XYZ axes is 60 m/min and acceleration is 7 m/s2
. The NC rotary table provides rotation of 60 rpm and up to 500 rpm for turning. CNC controls available are Fanuc 3i and Siemens Sinumerik 840D. Starrag USA Inc. Ph: 859-534-5201 Web site:
