Ham Polo Club really knows how to throw a party and every year they exceed my expectations. The venue, Stratsone Show Room on Park Lane set the tone. With Frerejean Frères champagne in hand, the guests looked the part as though they were at home yet did not take the occasion for granted.


The party set up the season which was to follow as the club goes from strength to strength. Every year I meet new members who are so enthusiastic about the atmosphere and the warmth of the welcome they have received. I believe this is solely down to the character and enthusiasm of the longer serving members and the way they make new members feel at home from day one. I frequently invite friends and family to Sunday lunch and their eyes light up at the prospect. Every invitee has thoroughly enjoyed the visit which I believe is due to the atmosphere created by the members and the excitement of the polo.
