The Fabulous Ice Age available on DVD The Fabulous Ice Age, a documentary film depicting the era
of great American touring ice shows, is now available on DVD and as a digital download. Produced and directed by Keri Pickett, The Fabulous Ice
Age chronicles American touring ice shows as they dominated live entertainment in the 1940s and 1950s. It also portrays one skater’s quest to preserve the history of these shows for gener- ations to come. A project seven years in the making, Pickett’s film represents an era of figure skating in which pomp and flair took center ice, delighting audiences across the nation for de- cades.
The film features never-before-seen footage, photographs
and rare archival material that introduces its viewers to a hand- ful of performers, producers and entrepreneurs who helped turn ice skating shows into prime family theatre. The Fabulous Ice Age earned honors at various film festivals throughout the country. To purchase a copy, send $25 (make checks payable to Pickett Pictures LLC.) to Keri
Pickett, 413 East Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55414. You can also order the DVD through
Amazon.com or iTunes, and it can be streamed on Netflix.
