Canton, Mich., has continued to raise the tech- nical and artistic bar for the three aforemen- tioned teams. Reputed to be an artistic genius, Zoueva
was named the Paul McGrath Choreographer of the Year award winner for the superb short and free dance programs she created for Davis and White last season. At virtually every major event, the couple’s
My Fair Lady short program and Scheherazade free dance electrified audiences and judges. “All my career I wanted my work to be
about more than skating,” Zoueva said. “I al- ways want skaters to be in a process of feeling things and be in the moment, because every minute and second in a program counts.” Jenni Meno and Todd Sand, three-time U.S. pairs champions and World medalists, were named the 2014 Developmental Coaches of the Year. Over the past several seasons, the duo has managed to build a strong stable of up-and- coming U.S. pairs teams, including Chelsea Liu and Devin Perini, and Ai Setoyama and David Botero, who earned junior silver and novice gold, respectively, at the 2014 U.S. Champion- ships.
Meno and Sand, married since 1995, train their athletes at the Aliso Viejo Ice Palace in Southern California. “It’s been an incredible journey and we
look forward to doing more,” said Sand, an ISU technical specialist. “We feel honored to influ- ence young people every day.”
Christy Krall, the venerable Colorado
Springs-based professional who last year was awarded the Coach of the Year citation for her Dartfish expertise and is a former coach of three-time World titlist Patrick Chan of Cana- da, was inducted into the PSA Hall of Fame. Krall expressed deep gratitude to the U.S.
figure skating coaching community, as well as her family and those skaters with whom she has worked with over the years. “I’m so honored to get this award, I can’t
believe it; I’m just the luckiest girl around,” said Krall, who finished seventh at the 1964 Olympics. “We are a small but mighty circle of professionals and friends and we’re all drawn together by an amazing circle of events, with every coach and athlete inspired by that great Olympic circle.” Te Rinx Total Skating Program, located
in Hauppauge, Bethpage and Port Jefferson, Long Island, N.Y., was named the winner of the Fritz Dietl Award for arena excellence due to its innovation and expertise in facility operations and programming. “I want to thank Frank Palamara, the own-
er who has given us the ability to dream,” Cath- ryn Schwab of Te Rinx said. “I’m also thankful for our staff.”
Christy Krall was inducted into the PSA Hall of Fame with Sandy Lamb.
