Postman Pat’s Parcel Post

Towers Resort head of consumer marketing, Katherine Duckworth. “CBeebies Land is proving extremely popular,” she continues, “so the footfall to this are of the park has increased. However, we do also have other areas that are aimed at young families – such as Cloud Cuckoo Land and Mutiny Bay – so lots of our visitors have been taking advantage of these as well.” During Park World’s visit last month, a handful of attractions emerged as CBeebies Land favourites, attracting queues of 45 minutes or more – on a weekday outside of the school holidays! Postman Pat’s Parcel Post, formerly Old Macdonald’s Tractor Ride, features Pat’s famous red van, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride (ex-Riverbank Eye Spy) takes families on a meandering voyage, while the Get Set Go Tree Top Adventure monorail (ex-Squirrel Nutty Ride) travels high above the guests below. Also featured in this brightly-coloured land filled with happy sights and sounds are Justin’s House Pie-O-Matic Factory (ball play), Charlie & Lola’s Moonsquirters and Greendrops (walk-through activity house), The Numtums Number-Go-Round (a roundabout with special seating for parents), Tree Fu Tom Training Camp (playground), Nina’s Science Lab (interactive exhibits), Mr Bloom’s Allotment (interactive show), the Big Fun Show Time arena and CBeebies Photo Studio. There are also, of course, multiple meet and greet opportunities with CBeebies characters. Duckworth tells us that the Alton Towers teams is already looking at ways to use CBeebies Land for special events outside of the regular season. “It will be available to guests staying at the resort for our fantastical Santa’s Sleepovers at Christmas,” she says. “The land is such a great addition for our family guests, so having this available at other times of the year is ideal for us. There is also scope for expanding CBeebies Land and adding in new IPs and characters in future.” With over 80 different kids’ shows listed on the CBeebies website, they

won’t be short of choice. altontowers.com/cbeebiesland
