Birds fans of all ages will be able to indulge in a wide variety of hands-on activities including 10 bird launching stations, four full body experiences, six map stamping stations and 20 iPad gaming stations – teaching them all about science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (or ‘STEAM’) in a fun and engaging way.


Touring exhibit to debut in Dubai


Created by Rovio Entertainment and Jack Rouse Associates (JRA), the Angry Birds Universe touring exhibit makes its debut later this month as part of the Dubai Summer Surprises Festival. The attraction opens on 28 July at Modhesh

Other full-body attractions include a laser maze, climbing wall, planetarium and oversized sling shot – all proof that the playing games doesn’t have to be sedentary experience confined to a smartphone app. In fact, Angry Birds Universe: The Art and Science Behind a Global Phenomenon (to give it is full name) aims to encourage families to work together, building creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial skills. For example, parents and children are able to build and test a variety of structures against the impact of Angry Birds launched by other guests. Peppa Pig in Italy Visitors to the Italian amusement park Leolandia can this season tour a fun- filled building site, culminating with a meet-and-great with Peppa Pig. What’s not to like? Mr Bull’s Worksite opened at the park near Miland last month. Here kids will find all the tools of Mr Bull and his team of workers: a wheelbarrow, the pneumatic drill, the traffic cones and many bricks. Little guests can activate special effects by pushing big red buttons: the explosion of underground pipes with a water jet, the typical sounds of the worksite and the voices of the characters that populate the Pig family’s world. At the end of the tour, kids can finally meet Peppa, take a picture with her and see a model of here future home at the park – coming in 2015. Located in Bergamo, Leolandia features 38 rides and attractions for all ages in addition to the popular Minitalia, featuring replicas of many of Italy's most important monuments. Crazy rabbits could be yours! Anyone who has ridden Futuroscope’s new La Machine à Voyager dans le Temps (time machine) attraction or played the Rabbids video game will know what cheeky characters the boggle-eyed rabbits featured in it are. And now you can have them in your park too! Alterface has teamed up with licence holder Ubisoft to market a new Rabbids interactive dark ride.


Since the debut of the franchise – which is credited as being the inspiration for the Minions in Despicable Me – the game has gone on to sell 14 million copies and spawned an animated TV show broadcast in 25 countries. La Machine à Voyager dans le Temps was realised at Futuroscope by the Dutch theming specialist Jora Vision, using an existing ride system. Alterface’s dark ride experience, meanwhile, includes projects as varied as Maus au Chocolat at Phantasialand, Germany; Justice League Alien Invasion at Warner Bros Movie World Australia and various Knights Quest rides for Legoland Discovery Centre.
