Subway forms new partnership

n Clive Beeston recently launched his own oven- cleaning business under the Oven Wizards brand name in Chelmsford.

Clive was looking for a change

from salaried employment and wanted to become self-employed. He decided he wanted to go into franchising because of the support and help he would get. Clive was particularly interested in mobile businesses and narrowed his search down to mobile coffee businesses and oven cleaning operations. He met with a couple of oven- cleaning companies before arranging to meet up with Oven Wizards franchise owners, John Graham and Mark Abbott, in August 2013. Clive said: “I warmed to their honest and frank approach. They answered all the questions I could throw at them. I then went off to speak with several of the existing Oven Wizards franchisees who all gave really good feedback, particularly about the ongoing support that is provided.” “My launch event with John and Mark at a superstore just outside Chelmsford went extremely well and gave me over three weeks’ worth of work, which got me off to a great start. Oven Wizards have definitely delivered what they said they would and, with the help and support of the other franchisees, this gives me the confidence to go on and build my new business on a firm foundation.” John Graham said: “From the first time we met Clive, we knew he would make a great addition to the Oven Wizards team, particularly because of his great passion for customer service.”

nSubway is delighted to announce a partnership with Welcome Break – one of the UK’s largest motorway service operators. Two new Subway stores recently opened at Welcome Break Motorway Services, the first at the Welcome Break Charnock Richard Services on the M6 and the second at the Welcome Break Woodall Services outside of Sheffield. These new stores mark the milestone of 1,600 Subway stores now open in the UK, with many more in development. Rod McKie, CEO of Welcome

Break, commented: “We are thrilled to be announcing that the Subway brand has been added to our existing offering at Welcome Break Woodall and Welcome Break Charnock Richard.

We have been looking to introduce our customers to healthier options and the product range that the Subway brand offers has enabled us to do this at two of our service stations. This is a partnership that we predict to go from strength to strength and we fully expect to be introducing the Subway brand to other Welcome Breaks across the UK in the very near future.” Neil Denny, Subway development agent for the North West, commented: “We have been working closely with Welcome Break over recent months and are very excited to be opening the first two stores in the partnership. We hope to see many more Subway stores in Welcome Break motorway service stations in the coming months.”
