All are provided in 2RU enclosures for optimised air circulation and cooling of the devices. The products offer a broad

variety of connectivity, with up to

10 seamless inputs and 16 input plugs including DVI-D, HDMI and 3G-SDI. Analog Way’s CleanCut effect allows all Midra series switchers to seamlessly switch between any of their input plugs without fade through black or loss of sync. In addition, EDID management is now standard for all computer sources. To fit any display resolution, including non-standard formats such as LED walls and rear-

projection cubes, the Midra switchers offer custom output format management. Up to seven layers are

available. The new Quick Frame function places a foreground frame over all other layers when necessary. A simple button push allows return to the previous display. The Pulse² also includes smart functions such as a direct source swap and split screen. To ensure better processing and quality of audio, the Midra

generation of mixers/seamless switchers includes advanced audio management. At ISE, some models of the

Midra series will be controlled through the RCS² graphic interface. As an AIR application, the RCS² is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Some units will be controlled through Analog Way’s RK-350, a new remote keypad designed for the Midra series. Stand: 11-F58

Nano soundbar claimed to be thinnest yet

in custom widths to match the length of any TV.

The 3-channels-in-1 speaker TRIAD SPEAKERS

The new Nano OnWall LCR 3.0 from Triad Speakers is claimed to be the thinnest soundbar on offer today. The fully-damped and braced extruded aluminium enclosure measures just 4cm deep by 8.25cm high, and comes

system measures only 4cm deep by 8.25cm high and is available in custom widths. The lacklustre sound of some of today’s ultra- thin TVs was the main inspiration behind the development of the soundbar, which Triad Speakers believes will maintain the sleek look of the display and offer superb performance.

“While there are other manufacturers that market thin soundbars, the sound has typically taken a back seat to size,” said director of international sales Mike Budd. “The Nano LCR 3.0 incorporates six specially designed 2in Scan-Speak drivers and three 1in soft dome SB tweeters in a fully-damped and braced aluminium enclosure. This was a major challenge for

such a compact enclosure. We are very proud of how it sounds and how it looks, and we believe it is the best performer in its class.” The system is

available in custom paint finishes, has a frequency range of 190Hz-20kHz (+/-3dB), recommended amp power of 75-

125W, nominal impedance of 6 ohms, and sensitivity of 84dB (2.83V, 1m). Stand: 5-S102, 5-S107

As of January, the only Robert Juliat distributor in The Netherlands is AED Distribution, and the latter is taking the opportunity presented by ISE 2014 to highlight a selection of Robert Juliat products. The ZEP 340LF is said to be ideal for fill lighting in TV studios, as well as for theatres, events and architectural lighting. The 340LF’s low heat output extends colour filter life which, along with its long life LEDs (50,000 hours), means that the time between maintenance calls is extended and that it has a low lifetime cost of ownership. It has an electronic, flicker-free, dimmable PSU, and is available with a choice of two (3,200K or 6,000K) colour temperatures. The TIBO Fresnel 500 Series from Robert Juliat will also be showcased. It is available in LED, tungsten or discharge versions, all of which feature a 130mm Fresnel lens. All versions feature a 360º rotating lens tube and a barn door arrangement with four individually rotating blades. The LED version uses a flicker-free PSU, and is available in three colour temperatures and a variable white model with colour temperature ranging from 2,700K to 5,700K.

The tungsten version can be equipped with 300W, 500W, 600W and 650W lamps and an ellipsoidal reflector. The discharge model uses a 250W HID lamp rated at 8,000 hours and is available in 3,000K and 4,200K colour temperatures. It features a separate electronic ballast. Stand: 1-F85
