WHAT’S NEW: RESOLUTE DTG Resolute sets the d-t-g agenda
Technology in the direct to garment industry moves at an alarming rate, and as a leading European player in this market, Resolute DTG are quite at home with this fact, and are helping to drive the changes.
S
ince February 2010, Resolute DTG have been developing and
improving the direct to garment process in both equipment and consumables. We have some great new products for 2014 and all will be on show at Printwear & Promotion LIVE 2014 (Hall 12, NEC Birmingham, February 23- 25).
mobile app Over the last two years, Resolute’s customer base has grown tenfold. In late 2013, sales of the popular R- Jet direct to garment printers topped 12 systems a week in the UK and Europe. Keeping up with support and

supplying consumables for our dealers and customers is a very important part of our business model. Now, the IT team at Resolute have combined services like support and consumable supply with a mobile app. Available for iPhone, iPad
Android and Google, the free to download app has been a huge success. The app has given us the ability to inform customers with the use of push notifications of simple but important occurrences, like bad weather for example. All digital textile inks are temperature sensitive, ruined if shipped and given the chance to drop below zero centigrade. The app also offers a live
support link, with the ability to send photographs taken
on the phone to be sent with questions. This not only speeds up the process, but it also allows R-Jet customers to get help when needed over the weekend without waiting until Monday morning. If you have forgotten to
order ink the app can handle this no problem, as it has a full ecommerce solution, allowing orders to be placed on the move or if you are simply out of the office without wifi. As always, Resolute find a way to make it fun. Using the app to send a picture of your R-Jet DTG printer in action automatically enters it into a monthly draw for some amazing prizes.
Latest version of the R-Jet range hits the road R
esolute customers will already know about the latest edition to the R-Jet range the i3. A scaled down version of the R-Jet 5, using the same patented
system, this transportable direct to garment printer is quite unique. With more features than most larger systems and a price tag starting at £6,450, it has
certainly turned the tables when getting on the direct to garment ladder. Driven by the Resolute RIP (included in
the price) you can print in twin CMYK mode producing a T shirt print in around 30 seconds, in-line on a dark shirt with white ink and colour in around two minutes or in traditional under base white with colour on the second pass in around three minutes. It’s no slouch! The R-Jet i3 is designed to be portable
so it uses a specially designed bagged ink feed system to allow for quick automatic flushing ready for transport or long term storage. Designed with short ink pipes, the
flushing process uses very little ink. The flushing solution can be left installed in the R-Jet i3 until it is next used. Long term storage can be as long as
six months without being powered up. Also available for the R-Jet i3 is a steel cabinet to allow for easy transport to and from the venue.

Bagged ink Bagged ink is nothing new, although until now it has been a little hard to come by in Europe. Starting in 2014 Resolute DTG will be offering Resolute Ink and DuPont Artistri bagged ink with conversion kits. This will allow most people to benefit
from the characteristics of professionally bagged ink over cheaper bulk and continuous ink feed systems.
