Honda will appear among the raft of manufacturers exhibiting at the show for the first time since 2009. Honda will display eight models including the AMT 185, 150 and 230 on its own boardwalk with a dedicated product and equipment stand. Steve Morris, Head of Power Equipment at Honda (UK), said: “A steadily recovering economy has shown an increase in interest from our customers and as such, we feel it’s the right time to return to the London Boat Show. We’re really looking forward to being back as it gives us a great platform to showcase the broad range of RIBs, fishing and leisure boats that make up our important BoatBuilder alliance programme as well as promoting our range of outboards, including the recently launched BF80 and BF100 engines.” Jeanneau, North Sails, DB Marine, Clarke & Carter, Te Boat Crew and Ultrasonic
Works were among the other companies to recently confirm their attendance at the show, which will this year welcome America’s Cup winner Sir Ben Ainslie. Sir Ben, the most successful sailor in Olympic history with four gold medals, will appear alongside his JP Morgan BAR AC45. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the victorious team and view the iconic catamaran up close. Murray Ellis, Managing Director of National Boat Shows, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Sir Ben Ainslie and his catamaran to the 2014 London Boat Show. Everyone in the world couldn’t fail to be caught up in the thrill of the spectacular America’s Cup back in September and it will be a real privilege for people to meet and listen to Sir Ben about his accomplishments and see his AC45. We pride ourselves on offering visitors the chance to see the latest and best innovations in the
sport of sailing. We also want to inspire and encourage people to get out on the water more and follow their dreams and what better way than taking the lead from the world’s greatest Olympic sailor.” Boat Show visitors will also be able to watch
competitive sailors in action in the dock and learn from boat owners who have experienced the seas first hand. Tere will also be the chance to take part in water sport taster sessions, with activities including canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding.
London Boat Show ticket holders will also be granted special access to Te Telegraph Cruise Show between 10th and 12th January at ExCeL London. For details visit
