the way up to the enthusiast off-road full suspension models retailing at over £4,000. EBC dealers have access to a wide range of marketing, PR, technical support and spares and even boasts a nomination for one of our prestigious (even if we do say so ourselves) BikeBiz Industry Awards. EBC will be found in the Grand Prix suite where test rides can be booked.

TWO KEY new products from British brand Hope will be at Core Bike, including the long awaited R8 front light, crafted after two years or design, operation and power refinement. The eight Cree XP-G2 LEDs generate a maximum power of 3,000 lumens (2,200 measured) through custom-made optics which blend 4x spot, 2x diffused and 2x elliptical lenses to illuminate the trail.

A new six cell battery has been

developed for the R8 which will give two hours burn time on maximum power. The new ES Li-Ion battery also features a charge indicator showing battery life at a button touch. The battery case is


machined from aluminium and has a rubber protection cover to allow rattle free fixing to stems and top tubes. Also new from the house of Hope is the Hope Tech 3 master cylinder, which replaces the Tech Evo master cylinder. The Tech 3 master cylinder can operate all the calipers from Hope’s range and offers a slight increase of power of about The piston is actuated by a cam and a roller system to eliminate any free play The Tech 3 master cylinder is now directly compatible with any Shimano I- Spec type shifter meaning no extra mount is required to attach the shifter to the master cylinder.

THE NEW Manitou Mattoc fork will be exhibited for the first time in the UK at Core. A nod to trail builders, the Mattoc provides efficient pedaling and handling any terrain you throw at it, we’re told, making it an ideal platform for enduro riding. It’s a 34mm stanchion fork with 140, 150 or 160mm of travel for both 26 and 27.5 inch tire sizes. It is also available in a 170mm configuration for 26in tyres only. The Mattoc will be available in Pro, Expert and Comp configurations. Pro and Expert feature the lightest weight chassis, with taper-wall legs and Manitou’s patented deep bore hollow crown on Pro and Expert models. The Pro Model gets additional weight savings.

Trail RS Helmet. This lightweight, maximum coverage half-shell helmet is launched into the new NLS (Next Level Series) range from the Swiss clothing and protection brand. Designed with Freeride pioneer Richie

Schley, iXS has sought to create the perfect trail/enduro helmet. Featuring a pronounced wrap-around design at the rear of the shell to maximise protection, the outer shell is in- moulded to the EPS liner to add durability as well as to improve impact dispersion in the event of a crash. One of its key features is its adjustable, breakaway visor, that is designed to keep the visor in one piece during a crash.
