There will be much to see at the Executive Hire Show in February, including a significant number of first-time exhibitors with new products on display.
The Executive Hire Show has again confirmed its status as the event where Passionate Hirers meet Innovative Suppliers. Talking to companies participating for the first time, it is clear that the event’s value lies not only in being a platform to launch new products, but also in enabling people to meet and build strong trading relationships face-to-face.
This is typified by Deutz AG - UK & Ireland which, besides promoting its range of diesel engines of 20-600kW capacity, wants to convey a more general message to our industry. “Some hirers and end users are cautious of the new engine technologies manufacturers are adopting to meet tighter emissions regulations,” said Alan Beech, Director of UK Operations. “They can be wary of electronic

they will find under their car bonnet. We also offer a comprehensive package of service and field support, and by working together we can achieve whole life cost savings for hirers and their customers.”
Also seeking to expand its customer base is Rothenberger UK, one of many exhibitors that have booked a stand in the new atrium space in the Ricoh Arena concourse. “We already supply a number of hirers who specialise in plumbing equipment, and other companies are now looking to target this market,” said Marketing Manager, Guy Hadwin. “Contractors are realising they can undertake additional aspects of a job if they hire appropriate equipment, such as installing sprinkler systems if they are working on a ceiling. heavy-duty equipment including pipe threaders, pressure testers, drain cleaning systems and pipe vices.”
Perhaps best known for its rugged ride-on mowers, Etesia UK will display several new products that are “ideal for hire,” according to General Manager Les Malin. “We will officially launch our multi-purpose electric barrow, which can be fitted with wheels or tracks, carries 300kg and climbs 30° slopes. We also distribute Pellenc cordless tools powered by Lithium-ion batteries, and new additions include a portable lighting rig giving up to eight hours’ illumination, and a converter that enables the batteries to provide up to 2kW of 240V power in remote locations.”
Etesia will launch a multi-purpose electric barrow.
The Multidrum screener fits on to the Belle Minimix 150.
Also showing innovation will be Multidrum, which has developed a screening attachment that fits on to the popular Belle Minimix 150 mixer.” Our Multidrum comprises three screens and discharge chutes for processing rubble,” said inventor John Shakespeare. “It has no moving parts, with the rotary motion coming from the mixer, and it discharges material into two barrows, for the screened soil and the spoil respectively. Hirers can now offer additional functionality for one of their core products.”
