Healey Hire buys Niftylift Hybrid
Healey Tool Hire has added a Niftylift HR21 Hybrid platform to the fleet of its Colchester depot. “We have run a number of access machines including Niftylifts, JLG units and Skyjacks,” said Branch Manager Rafe Healey. “However, we were always limited to a certain size due to transportation. We recently took the decision to up-rate our trucks so that we could carry larger booms and this Niftylift was the ideal choice for us, due to its low overall weight and impressive working envelope. “Also important is our company’s environmental commitment, and the Hybrid’s Tier 4 power source with very low emissions, and the ability to be used on battery power, go a long way to helping us achieve this.” The 6.5 tonne machine is part of a larger order that included Niftylift HR12s and trailer-mounts.
Brandon’s handy app
Brandon Hire has launched a new app called Tool Belt, designed to enable tradesmen to inspect products in an on-line catalogue, as well as see prices, get advice and order equipment without having to leave a site.
“Although customers could access our website via their phones, the app makes it so much easier,” said MD Tim Smith. “Once it is downloaded, they can browse the catalogue, use a geo-locate function to find their nearest branch, or make contact via phone or email.” Brandon says that the in-built catalogue is particularly innovative, since it does not rely on any connectivity to run. Users can also access a set of handy functions that include a digital spirit level and a unit converter. A project management tool and photo upload option will be added shortly.
