Business profile

Institute for Collaborative Working. Robert Hopkin was one of the first BS11000 facilitators trained by PERA; furthermore, the Rail Alliance stages regular half-day BS11000 Awareness courses for members and non-members. Launched just over three years ago as a national organisation, the Rail Alliance had proved its concept regionally in the West Midlands for two years prior to its national launch. In addition to its core provision to members, the Rail Alliance has recently launched its own suite of Value Added Services under the RAVAS banner (see www.railalliance.co.uk/ravas for further information) and this has proved a winner from the start, with several members taking advantage of the specialised consultancy services on offer – including some companies completely new to the sector. Robert Hopkin joined the Rail Alliance in June 2009. Prior to that he spent 20 years with the Royal Air Force. As a training specialist with operational credentials, he has experienced all aspects of the training and development lifecycle, including: analysing, designing, staging, validating and evaluating training. If you would like to find out more about the Rail Alliance, then please visit its website www.railalliance.co.uk or contact Rhona Clarke, office manager, on 01789 720026.
