October 22nd 2013, Unity Teatre, Liverpool For the second year, Birmingham’s Be Festival will embark on a national tour, introducing three more emerging European theatre companies to UK audiences. Selected audiences will have a unique opportunity to meet and eat with the performers during a communal meal in the interval, and all performances throughout the tour will conclude with post-show discussions.
Upbeat Beatles
October 17th 2013, Southport Teatre, Southport Marking five decades since the release of Please Please Me, Te Upbeat Beatles will take you on a magical history tour of Te Beatles through their songs and their humour. Playing live music from the iconic band’s ten year canon, Te Upbeat Beatles aim to have you dancing in the aisles and screaming like its 1963.

October 16th-17th, Contact, Manchester Tackling the issue of anorexia nervosa, this funny and poignant play with songs is a three hander about obsession, despair and finally about letting go, offering an authentic insight that challenges popular misconceptions about dealing with and recovering from the condition.
The Ugly Sister
October 11th-12th, Contact, Manchester Scotsman Fringe First winners (2010 and 2011) and new West Yorkshire Playhouse associate company RashDash tell the story of the most notorious villains in fairy-tale history. Influenced by the Object report in 2011 following the Leveson enquiry, Te Ugly Sister explores themes of objectification and sexism in the media.
