It was dressing for occasions such as these that inspired the Barbour Country collection. To complement our shooting jackets, Barbour Country off ers beautiful tweed jackets, feminine shirts and fun accessories.” Working alongside Lord James Percy, who has collaborated with Barbour since 2004 and is widely considered to be one of the best shots of his generation, Helen designed the premium collection to be both functional and versatile, with a nod to the brand’s impressive heritage. Its Beagle jacket was inspired by walking her own dogs and includes practical features that assist a dog walker whilst still ensuring that they look and feel stylish. “Our evolution as a lifestyle brand has meant that we are now off ering a greater choice of products and styles, and this has broadened our


appeal to a wider customer base,” added Helen. “We have developed more contemporary products for men, women and children focused on rugged tailoring and slimmer fi ts, without sacrifi cing any of our core values of quality, practicality and British style. “In response to requests from many of our customers, we have also developed a focused fashion collection inspired by our archives and interpreting our heritage for a new style conscious audience, but never moving too far from our core values,” she said. And what a heritage it is. Remaining true to the founding values of this fi fth generation family company, the British label has been producing its core wax cotton jacket styles, such as the Bedale and the Beaufort, in its South Shields Factory in the North East
