atch-maker Hayley Bystram is on a mission to offer London’s busy business professionals some
romantic respite. As director of the Bowes- Lyon Partnership in Belgravia her company is solely focused on providing a comprehensive introduction service to this ‘elite’ niche market. It was while working for another London introduction agency that she saw a gap in the market to assist busy young professionals in the capital. And so around five years ago she established the Bowes-Lyon Partnership with her sister Natalie. Hayley said: “Tere are quite a few agencies in London and they’ve been around for many, many years. I suppose I saw them as quite old fashioned in terms of the way they were working. Tere didn’t seem to be a huge amount catered to the younger age categories, and those were the people struggling to find partners because they worked such long hours.

Hayley said: “We meet with everyone to understand about their background and their lifestyle and what they’re looking for in a partner, and whether we have the type of members to match. We are selective and the reason for that is that we’d never want to waste anybody’s time. Yes we run a business, but we’re in an industry where we’re dealing with people’s feelings and emotions. Tat’s always at the forefront of our minds. We want to preserve our niche. Otherwise we’d be looking for a needle in a haystack and everything would take a lot longer.” Hayley, who was a wedding planner before
working for introduction agencies in London, doesn’t prescribe to the idea that opposites attract, preferring to remain focused on the company’s target market. She said: “Our members tick certain boxes. Tey’re all financially independent. Tey don’t join us because they want to bankroll someone and
