fresh king prawns. My partner particularly enjoyed the spicy salmon fi llet. Our wines and aperitifs were served by Mark and Alan with coff ees and the famous orange brownies never far behind. All meals and beverages are inclusive and guests are encouraged to dress for dinner as the crew are impeccably turned out in evening dress to join you. Exchanging tales from the day’s adventures and the local Scottish traditions and myths, before you know it you’re part of the crew! Days on board can be tailored to everyone’s tastes. With wet suits suitable for the chilly water there are activities from water skiing to kayaking which are fun for all of the family. Our own experience of kayaking was truly magical as it provided us with a chance to get up close and personal with dolphins as they swam just six feet away from us. T ere are opportunities for sightseeing and walking with so many places to see such as Tobermory, Isle of Mull, the Botanical Gardens and of course the Whiskey Run Experience. A photographer’s paradise from early dawn mists over the sleepy villages to refl ective sunsets, perfect for getting your camera out and snapping away. Catching glimpses of dolphins, whales and seals on our journey and all the beauty it encompasses made it a trip to tick off the bucket list. With a vast choice of dates, locations and nights on board the Lord Jim you really are spoilt for choice. I would recommend this as an adventure for all ages and a great way to meet new people. Alternatively you can commission the Lord Jim for your own personal use or special occasion. With luxury fi ne dining, fi ve star accommodations and a rich history, this really is sailing at its best. We can’t wait for a return trip.
