Travel
served to you the next day for lunch, private picnics on secluded islands and of course a sunset cruise - perfect for honeymooners or keen dolphin lovers. We decided on the sunset cruise and this was a wonderful way to spend one of our evenings. On site, Cocoa Island includes an infinity pool filled with fresh water that adds to the endless view of the Ocean. Te island is home to the Ufaa Restaurant – meaning happy - where chefs serve up local cuisines and honours nature featuring seafood and organic produce all inspired by South Indian flavours. Te restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and features a selection of European dishes however the focus is on locally grown produce. Te Faru Bar is adjacent to
the pool and leads directly onto the beach and serves fine wines, extravagant cocktails and healthy juices. Te Como Shambhala menu includes enzyme rich foods, mostly vegetarian, and is available from the restaurant and from room service. We opted for an organic roasted chicken quinoa with celery tomato salad and walnut sauce to share which was all very tasty and definitely enough for two people. On the second night I had Kerala chilli prawns, a famous Indian dish served with freshly baked Naan bread, saffron infused rice, followed by milk chocolate mousse cake, spiced plum and milk ice cream. Te resort offered an extensive selection of wine, however prices do reflect the island’s
location. Tis seems to be consistent throughout the Maldives. Cocoa Island truly caters for its guests
every desire and the location will stay in your memories forever. Tis hidden gem allows guests to be looked after and have every need catered for in momentous surroundings.
