Ocean Center Convention Center
When the meeting breaks, the ocean awaits
Overlooking Daytona Beach’s famous 23-mile stretch of sandy white beach, the Ocean Cen- ter Convention Center is the facility of choice for events of all kinds, from conventions and board meetings to sporting events and exhi- bitions. The newly expanded venue has been designed to meet the exacting needs of plan- ners, with 164,000 of interior exhibit space and 100,000 square feet of exterior exhibit space, as well as a ballroom, 32-plus meeting rooms, and an arena. With 42,000 square feet of space, the
Ocean Center’s arena can easily convert to event space, accommodating up to 240 10-by-10-foot exhibits and seated func- tions of up to 9,600 guests. Forty-five-foot ceilings and drive-in doors measuring 13.5 by 14 feet equate to a simple move-in and
-out process. For larger exhibitions, Ocean Center’s 94,695-square-foot exhibit hall accommodates 504 10-by-10-foot exhibits and features six loading docks. For galas, banquets, and special events, the facil- ity’s 11,715-square-foot ballroom can fit 60 10-by-10 foot exhibits and 840 guests for banquet-style events. And for breakout ses- sions and boardroom meetings, more than 32 meeting rooms totaling 32,000 square feet, along with an executive boardroom and VIP suite, feature easy sound and light- ing controls. In addition to the building’s intuitive
design and technology, unique features like the ECHO art gallery and beach-inspired décor bring the local landscape to life inside the center. Stately doors crafted of curly maple, reception areas flanked by sweep- ing balconies, and flexibly designed meet- ing rooms all combine to create a canvas ripe for creative theming.
