JW Marriott Austin Austin’s largest hotel makes its grand debut in 2015

Why Austin? Forbes recently named Austin the country’s No. 1 boom- town for the next decade, and Travel + Leisure named it one of the top- three “techiest” cities in the United States.

Texas-sized spaces In addition to offering more than 112,000 square feet of meeting space — including a 30,000-square-foot grand ballroom

— the JW Marriott Austin, when it opens in 2015, will be just three blocks away from 370,000 square feet of meeting, exhibit, and ballroom space at the Austin Convention Center.

Everyone knows that in Texas, it’s either go big or go home. So when the JW Marriott Aus- tin opens in early 2015, it not only will be the brand’s first foray into the “Live Music Capital of the World,” it also will be Austin’s largest hotel. With 1,012 guest rooms and more than 112,000 square feet of meeting space, the brand-new property will be a destination in itself. And because location is everything, the hotel — on Congress Avenue between Sec- ond and Third Streets — will be just two blocks away from the Austin Convention Center and within easy walking distance of Austin’s most popular attractions, including the nightlife- and restaurant-filled 2ND Street District and the famous live-music venues of Sixth Street. On site, the hotel’s full-service restaurant

will serve regional Italian cuisine, a second restaurant will focus on local Texas fare, and

a lobby lounge will give meeting planners added convenience and extra venue options. As for the meeting space, more than 112,000 total square feet will include a 30,000-square- foot ballroom, a 23,000-square-foot junior ballroom, a 23,000-square-foot exhibition hall, and 42 meeting rooms totaling more than 35,000 square feet. Guest rooms at the JW Marriott Austin

will be everything meeting planners and their attendees expect from the brand that defines quiet luxury. All 1,012 guest rooms will feature Marriott’s signature Revive bed, comfortable workstations with ergonomic chairs, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Three presi- dential suites, three hospitality suites, and 24 executive suites will provide plenty of options for hosting VIPs, stafing, and hos- pitality functions. Spa treatment rooms, al

fresco dining, an outdoor pool deck overlook- ing downtown, and an expansive fitness cen- ter will give attendees access to their favorite resort amenities — while allowing them to stay close to all of the action in downtown.
