New Guide to Spray Roses They fi rst came to prominence as the very fi rst rose breeder to develop spray roses. Now Interplant Roses in Leersum, Holland is breaking ground again with the launch of the fi rst guide book devoted to this gorgeous and oh-so-versatile fl ower. Founded forty years ago and

still run by the Ilsink family, Interplant has pushed the boundaries in rose breeding and with dozens of diff erent varieties of spray rose now available… including the newly launched and exquisite Parfume de Grande… can rightly claim to be experts in their fi eld. Which is why their new, handy

sized A5 ring binder guide, is so useful. Compiled especially for international fl ower wholesalers and fl orists the guide presents an overview of 61 currently available varieties of spray roses classifi ed by colour. Practical information about stem lengths, vase life and VBN code is also provided for each cultivar. But why produce a guide?

Because Interplant sees a great future for spray roses as Director Robert Ilsink explained: “More and more wholesalers, fl orists and consumers are discovering the great potential of spray roses. In the last decade spray rose quality has improved enormously and they are now superior in every respect. As a result their popularity is growing fast and around the world spray roses are increasingly being used in mono bouquets, supermarket bouquets, mixed bouquets as well as exclusive fl ower arrangements. “As one of the few rose

breeders who can off er the full assortment of spray roses including fragrant varieties as well as large-fl owered, multi-

coloured and hybrid varieties we wanted to share our world of roses so that even more wholesalers and fl orists could see the potential of this value adding fl ower.” For your free copy of Spray Roses – The Ultimate Handbook visit interplant.nl.
