Virgin’s Valentine ranch break
VIRGIN Holidays has teamed up with The Grand Canyon Ranch Resort to offer a Valentine’s Day experience with a difference.

Hilton upgrades Caribbean hotels
TWO Caribbean Hilton properties have announced major developments. The Hilton Ponce Golf and Casino
Resort in Puerto Rico is marking its 20th anniversary and reinforcing its ‘Younger than Ever’ marketing campaign, with a $2.5 million investment that includes a full revamping of the beachfront resort’s outdoor leisure facilities, casino upgrades, nightlife options, golf
enhancements, and a
major sustainability project designed to reduce energy consumption. Guest rates start at $149 per night. Already completed are executive floor
renovations at the Hilton Curaçao in Willemstad in Curaçao including 34 new executive guest rooms, three suites, and an executive lounge with stunning ocean views. With this fifth floor makeover, the 196-room beachfront Hilton Curaçao resort now claims to boast both the newest and only executive floor on the island. Executive room rates start at $229 per night.

Krabi joins Bangkok Airways network
BANGKOK Airways is launching new services and adding frequency to its regional and domestic
routes to
strengthen ASEAN connections as Thailand gets ready to enter the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015. The new flights are Bangkok-Krabi
(twice daily starting March 31) and Bangkok-Mandalay in Burma (four weekly flights starting September 16) with additional services on Bangkok- Trat (three daily flights) and Bangkok- Male (five weekly flights starting March 31) routes. In addition, all Bangkok-Phnom Penh flights will now be operated by Airbus A319 and additional frequencies will be added to flights between Samui-Phuket during the summer.

UK arrivals were up 10.6% last year and, with British Airways having started a new London-Seoul service last December the prospects are bright for an even healthier 2013, according to Ramy Salameh, PR Manager and spokesman for the Korea Tourism Organisation. “The impressive UK (arrival) figures are a clear reflection of the growing popularity of Korea, which we acknoweldge has been helped in no small part by PSY's Gangnam Style and the K-Pop genre in general which has wooed a new generation of travellers to Korea,” he said.
