L’équipe 21 asked Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) to realize the full installation of their new DVB-T channel.
Back in 2012, the company moved its headquarters from Issy-Les-Moulineaux to a brand new building in Boulogne, Paris. L’équipe 21 asked BCE to install a state-of-the-art infrastructure covering production, news and broadcasting.
Fully tapeless, the new channel meets new technology requirements and is fully broadcasting its programmes on DVB-T on the French market as well as a live channel view on internet and a catch-up TV portal.
The final platform was delivered in December 2012 for immediate operation.
Tapeless workflow Working with ready to broadcast files, L’équipe 21 upgraded their channel infrastructure to a full tapeless workflow with an extended network linking all the different working stations and control rooms together.
“BCE delivered a fully operational platform with the cabling organized clearly for easy maintenance and evolution” comments Gusty Feinen, Manager Special Projects at BCE.
The moving of the company is a complete (r)evolution of the channel including DVB-T broadcast, fully covering the French market, live internet streaming, opening to the 2nd and 3rd screen users and a catch-up TV portal.
Fostering on productivity is essential for modern digital channels. Therefore the worklow is organized around a central technical room which manages the production and postproduction files and also the broadcasting feeds. The users can easily access all the content data and use it in productions, news or even last minute broadcasting.
