A new addition to the team is Richard Carr who joins as


sales executive, reporting to sales manager Ben Ewles. He has previous experience in production and worked as a camera assistant in the past for Channel 4. As well as working in event management, Carr’s most recent media sales role was for The Cavendish Group working within the energy sector with companies looking to break into emerging markets (within the BRIC regions).

The new recruits include Matthew Perman, who joins the company as business manager, andMohamad Othman and Mohamed Makki Ibrahim, who both join MGI as business development managers. Perman was formerly with Sony Professional where he held various management roles. Othman previously worked for broadcast systems integrator Qvest Media and connectivity supplier Al Mazroui ICAS while Makki Ibrahim joins MGI from INC-Technology. Christopher Thomashas joined PESA as EVP of engineering and CTO and will be responsible for all hardware and software engineering projects as well as developing the technology roadmap.


Tim Clamanis the new CTO at Quantel, bringing experience gained as both a supplier and user of broadcast and post production technology. Most recently, as CTO of Avid, Claman helped shape the company’s technology and product strategy over a period of 14 years. Bill Baker has joined root6 Technology as a junior sales engineer. He joins the product development arm, recently re-sited in a new facility in Soho’s Berwick Street.


Timeline Television has appointed former dock10 employee Simon Littler to head up its operations team at BT Sport’s new production hub. Littler will be responsible for the five-year managed services contract Timeline Television has with BT Sport to run and operate the technical facilities. Craig Newburyhas been promoted by Wohler Technologies to the role of vice president of sales for the company’s RadiantGrid business line. Prior to joining Wohler in 2012 he served in sales and management roles at Axon Digital Design, AmberFin, and Snell & Wilcox (now Snell). WRN Broadcast has hired Andrew


Davies as the company’s head of Sales and Business Development. He joins WRN Broadcast from TSL Middle East, where he was general manager and was instrumental in winning and delivering a number of high profile projects – including the Sky News Arabia project.
