Pleora Technologies has established a European office in Copenhagen, led by Gunnar Jonson. With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, he previously established the first European office for DALSA Corporation.


Quantel has announced the appointment of Chris Steele to the position of senior product manager, Broadcast. He will be responsible for bringing Quantel’s revolutionQ system through the final stages of development. He began his career at ITN, and more recently consulted for The Foundry, Pixel Power and Marquis Broadcast.


Content producing business re:fine has recruited Vicky Wise to its management team, in the newly created position of projects manager. She has spent the last six years at media and broadcast software specialist Xytech Systems. In addition, re:fine has hired Simon Jones as head of VT. He joins the company from BSkyB. John Naylor has joined Ross Video as marketing product manager and business development manager, DashBoard. He has held a variety of senior positions with organisations including Grass Valley, Snell and NewTek.


Sound Devices has announced two new promotions. Pat McConnell has been made vice president of Sales, and Ed Cappas Global Sales director. McConnell joined the company last year, and Capp has been with the company for 10 years.


As part of the restructure of TV Group’s Broadcast and Production business, Thomas Valter has a new role as VP of Business Management, Broadcast and Production. Previously HD Development manager, Thomas Lund’s new role is CTO Broadcast and Production.
