Each compact Blender has two sets of LEDs (Tungsten and Daylight), which can be blended and dimmed to give the desired colour output, with diffusers to vary the character of the light. The kit offers a total of 48W and weighs 7.7kg.
LS Traveler LED kits Litepanels has a new LS Series of lighting kits based around its 1x1 panel fixtures. Each comes with AC power supplies and light stands, plus a hard-sided carrying case. The LS Traveler Duo Kit includes a 1x1 LS Mono Flood (with a beam angle of 50°) and a 1x1 LS Mono Spot (beam angle 30°). Both are fully dimmable. The kit is designed as starter lighting kit for news crews and videographers, and weighs 11.3kg. The LS Traveler Trio Kit includes two 1x1 LS Mono Floods and one 1x1 LS Mono Spot. It weighs 21.1kg, and comes with a wheeled case. Users can add Anton/Bauer or V-mount battery adapter plates for cable-free lighting. The third kit is the LS Traveler
Trio Plus, with two 1x1 LS Mono Bi-Colors (50° beam angle and colour agile between daylight and tungsten), and one 1x1 LS Mono Flood (50° beam angle). many of the same features like flicker-free analogue dimming, AC or DC power options and rugged build quality, but, to lower the cost, it doesn’t have studio-specific components such as DMX control or remote control dimming. Colour and dimming adjustments are via on-fixture knobs. Drawing 40W, it provides a light output comparable to a 200W HMI or 500W tungsten fixture.
Hurricane storms in The AadynTech lighting range is now being distributed in the UK through Prokit, and includes two new LED models. The JAB Hurricane is weather-proof, IP65 rated, and is protected against both dust and low pressure water jets, so that it can be used in either a hurricane or a sand storm. Output is 19,062 lux at 3.05m. It is convection cooled (no fans) and flicker free up to 14,000fps. It uses a single light source, to eliminate multiple shadows. Special effects include variable lightning and strobe. Quick-change lenses allow it to be varied between spot and flood. It is also DMX compatible.
The JAB series is available in
four other models: Daylight (220W), Tungsten, and Variable (140W and adjustable from 3000K to 6000K with an output over 10,000 lux at 3.05m); and the JAB Bullet for shooting at up to 100,000fps. The new ECO LED Space Light is claimed to provide “exceptional white light output and control. The ECO LED Space Light provides a CRI of 95+ at 3,380K and an output of 560 lux at 7.62m. The unit draws only 6.8 amps at full power and ships with a standard adjustable heavy-duty mounting yoke and attachment points for industry standard skirts, targets, hoods and Chimeras.
