Bellocchio concludes: “The installation’s hardware was selected by Videoworks to meet the client’s requirements. Among the fundamental requisites taken into consideration when making the choice was that products had to be able to stand up to heavy-duty work and ensure a high level of reliability. So – for example – we chose video projectors with a dual-lamp system, heat pipe cooling system and automated self-cleaning filters able to run 24/7. We also opted for digital video playback units with a solid- state memory and no moving parts, which can be interconnected and interfaced with external systems, ensuring synchronised playout of all the projections and the audio-guide system.” The Crestron system installed by Videoworks enables audio, video and lighting integration and control and can be programmed to run an automatic daily schedule, as well as being monitored and controlled remotely. Videoworks also provides remote assistance facilities, which can be used to modify and update the system. “If you can dream it, you can do it”, one of Ferrari’s best-known sayings, certainly best represents his philosophy and a life marked by passion and creativity, research and innovation, courage and challenge.
