InfoComm releases new AV verification checklist
INFOCOMM INTERNATIONAL has released the Audiovisual Systems Performance Verification Checklist – a member-developed resource intended to provide owners, consultants and integrators with verification criteria (of which there are 162 kinds) to determine if the AV system achieves the client’s objectives and is performing in accordance with the system design. The checklist was
developed in a consensus building manner over the last year, by a panel of subject matter experts representing the entire industry. “By creating and
distributing this checklist, InfoComm has met its long- standing goal of establishing verification guidelines to help industry professionals and their clients communicate effectively about mutual expectations for system
performance,” said David Labuskes (pictured), executive director and CEO, InfoComm International. “I urge the industry to adopt this list as a basis to foster better communication between the AV industry and the people who rely on our systems.”
The checklist is a featured
requirement of InfoComm’s Certified AV Solutions Provider (CAVSP) programme. Diamond CAVSPs are required to show a completed checklist for one AV installation; Emerald CAVSPs need to indicate their commitment to adopt InfoComm’s checklist for future AV installations. www.infocomm.org

Draper consolidates into larger premises
DRAPER EUROPE has announced a move into a larger manufacturing facility in Halmstad, Sweden. In early 2012, Draper
acquired the manufacturing operations of Tvaakersmarkisen (TM), one of the largest awning manufacturers in Sweden. Since then, the company has operated in two locations, manufacturing projection screens at its HQ in Halmstad, and awnings, venetian blinds and window shades at TM’s former facility 48km away. By consolidating both
operations in a new expanded facility in Halmstad, Draper has been able to streamline production. The move also provides room for future expansion of all product lines. As part of the expansion,
Draper is also introducing a full line of window shade solutions for the European market. www.drapereurope.se
