solution features the first installation of Havells-Sylvania’s Fast Trunking System (FTS) in Sweden.

"Our challenge was to find a flexible solution that suited both the store Owner and the Property Manager’s requirements. By thinking outside the box, we decided that light on the shelves instead of industry standard floor lighting was, in fact, the best way to display our products,” explains Jan Svannäs, Owner of the projects’ installers, Svenska Ljusgrossisten. “As this is such an innovative idea, finding a completely new comprehensive solution was a challenge. Fortunately, Havells-Sylvania provided the answer with its brand new FTS – an extremely smooth and flexible lighting solution, which is both extremely quick to install and energy efficient".

The Fast Trunking System from Havells-Sylvania is an innovation in modular suspended LFL systems, similar to “click” floor systems. Installed in 19 units of 9m lengths, this new lighting solution creates an inviting

atmosphere within the Swedish Hemköp store. Through the intelligent use of large reflectors, light output is doubled to an average lighting value of 1050 Lux.

The team at Havells-Sylvania is delighted with the response that their Fast Trunking System has had from contractors and retailers alike; “We are really impressed with both the market and end-user response to our Fast Trunking System. In a couple of weeks alone we have seen orders of just under 3,000 metres in Sweden, France and Spain, as well as strong interest from other countries,” states Oliver Weiss, Senior SBU Manager Sylvania Fixtures at Havells-Sylvania.

Roblon Lighting Division has also been working on creating an ideal retail lighting solution with the introduction of two new lighting updates. The new Libra and XPO-LED showcase and display case ranges are exclusively available in the UK from the Light Projects Group, and can be run using Roblon’s new highly efficient LED projectors. Both new products feature individual LED modules that can be replaced independently on sight when required, saving money on maintenance. The XPO-LED is a conduit luminaire and can be

customised to different lengths and heights. It is available with multiple mounting options and in a number of styles to suit each scheme. The Libra range is available with one, two or three fully adjustable, interchangeable fitting heads with a high degree of directivity for more particular lighting tasks. Both fittings have been designed to look elegant but simplistic, and because they are recessed in the fitting they provide very little glare, meaning minimal distraction from the products on display.
