DNA - 1st year Anniversary, Ottawa

EVERY year, through the month of November to December, Montreal house heads prepare themselves for a musically infused holy gathering for a venue that has become a true gem in this city’s clubbing scene. Some know it as an afterhours spot but for most, Stereo Montreal is recognized as (((the temple))) of the underground Techno and House music industry. For over a decade, the world renowned club has welcomed reputable artists from all over the globe to bless Stereoheads with international sounds within its genres, using one of the world’s finest sound systems. This year, for its 13th year standing taller and stronger than ever, Stereo Montreal will hold a series of wild and crazy anniversary blowouts (because the word party just doesn’t cut it) celebrating the existence of an establishment that has touched the heart and soul of many in countless ways. The festivities will begin November 2nd and will follow through till December 1st with yet another unforgettable b-day line-up. The artists this year are the following: Doc Martin, Dubtribe Sound System, Chus & Ceballos, Marco Carola, Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone, Guy Gerber, tINI, Ben Klock, Dubfire & Andre Galluzzi (Cocoon Heroes party), David Morales and Frankie Knuckles.

IN a short year, a small dedicated group named DNA Presents have forced Ottawa onto the Canadian dance music circuit. A stop traditionally passed over in favour of Montreal and Toronto is finally a viable market to attract top international talent, and that’s exactly what DNA has been booking. Their 2012 party roster reads like a who’s who list of the top acts in the industry, ranging from names like Avicii and Afrojack to Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Sander van Doorn, Above & Beyond, Laidback Luke and Dada Life, to a more refined sound in their brand new tech night Frequency which featured Victor Calderone as the first guest. DNA is celebrating their 1 year anniversary with 11 days of madness this November, featuring house dons Fedde le Grand, Dirty South, Project 46 and Pleasurekraft, Montreal bass heads Adventure Club, and the German trance duo that played the first every party by DNA last November, Cosmic Gate. Kingston will also receive a special edition stop of the DNA festivities when Dirty South comes to Stages on November 20th.
