Angerfist Fuck The Promqueen

(Tripped Remix) Masters Of Hardcore 9.0

OK, not much needs to be said about this track, 210bpm for five minutes of pure ear-pain. That’s it! HARDCORE.

BK & Max Mozart Generation (Ben Carr

Remix) Ideal 8.0

The second release on Tidy Boys label Ideal sees BK and new talent Max Mozart combine for the peak-time hard house anthem ‘Generation’. Ben Carr provides a funky rework to get those arses shaking.

Ross Homson

Bitter & Fisted Tidy 7.0

Old school vocal- sampling going back a decade here, from Ross Homson, keeping those Sundissential flavours running throughout. Fans of the old school will be all over this.

Arhetium R Double Sublimity (DJ

W Remix) Gearbox Digital 7.5

Big room hard trance here, featuring some really heavy snares, bubbling acid and ferocious kicks.

Argy

Sting Like A Bee AID

9.5

South Wales’ tek maniac Argy is without a doubt the fastest-rising star on the UK scene. Known for his three-deck technical wizardry and fx madness, he brings it with his tech-inspired heavy sets. This new release on Thilo & Evanti’s label proves why he is in such demand, combining elements of current house tracks with lots of LFO-driven hectic madness and a simple-yet-effective main melody, before dropping at a slower BPM, building up the tempo to the main section. Hats off to him, and keep your eye on this guy over the coming year, big things are happening...

Activator & Doctor Zot

L’Estate Sta Finendo Activator Digital 8.5

The Italian hardstyle pioneers pushing boundaries here, with some current house-inspired kicks and bass. Groovy house loops in the build-up to the main breakdown, leading into a lush string melody, adding dubstep into the equation before a huge euphoric melody emerges, dropping with more purist hardstyle kicks for a main drop. So many clever twists and turns, this has really caught my attention.

Brennan Heart Running Late (Brennan Heart

& Code Black Raw Mix) Brennan Heart Music 9.0

ZANY FUSION RECORDS

01. ZANY ‘World Belongs To You’ Fusion “On the forthcoming album ‘Planet Zany’.”

02. ZANY ‘Dance!’ Fusion “Also a new track on the album which works really great on the dancefloors!”

03. ZANY ‘Nightmare Into Reality’ Fusion “A really solid reversed bass in the start and I used my own voice to create a

sound for the climax.”

04. ZANY ‘Positive Anarchy’ Fusion “One of this year’s Qbase anthems.”

05. ZAZAFRONT ‘Dikke Vette Bassplaat’ CDR “One of the biggest festival tracks this year. Everybody put your hands up!”

06. CODE BLACK & NITROUZ ‘Can’t Hold Me Back’ Fusion “A great summer track, with a very catchy hook.”

07. DONKEY ROLLERS ‘Domination’ Fusion “Raw basslines, sharp sounds — like a typical Donkey Rollers track!”

08. WILDSTYLEZ & A2 FEAT DV8 ROCKS! ‘Gotta Leave It All

Behind’ Digital Age “A very high quality track with awesome vocals from my buddy DV8! Great work.”

09. TUNEBOY ‘Blacklight’ Titanic “The latest track from this mastermind. A hell of a track.”

10. VERACOCHA ‘Carte Blanche (Toneshifterz Remix)’ Fusion “These Aussies really know how to make this trance classic into a hardstyle

slammer.”

I was a massive fan of the ‘Original Mix’ of this earlier in the year, because of its light-hearted charm. But now the summer months are over, it’s time for a dark mix, which Brennan Heart & Code Black have not failed to deliver. The happy melody is as distant a memory as a sunny afternoon in this raw rework of the anthem. Dark, hard, distorted, twisted... all words that describe this epic beast.

Generator

Sticky Fingers Riot! 7.5

One of the newest and most consistent UK producers delivers another slab of crossover hard trance, hard tek action on the Riot! imprint. With a familiar melody which I still can’t place after several listens, this ticks all the boxes and is perfect for crossing over between the more tek-based sounds and European hard trance.

Jim Justice vs Will.i.am

Love For The Bass CDR

8.5

At first, before even listening to this release, the concept put me off, but it actually works remarkably well, especially on the dancefloors, and has been one of the biggest tracks in my sets over the past month. Combining selected vocals from the current Will.i.am track with the hard, dirty, techy Dutch Jim Justice sound, this has loads of power and drive, as well as being one of those secret weapons when all else fails on the dancefloor.

Kutski vs Audiofreq feat Jenna Lee

Forgiven Scantraxx 9.0

This one has been a long time in the making. My collaboration with Aussie hardstyler Audiofreq took almost 12 months to complete — our cover of the trance classic from Space Brother, with a hardstyle twist. We went for the straight-out anthem approach — hands-in-the-air melodies, and drafted in the super-talented Jenna Lee of ‘Amigos Forever’ fame to cover the vocal. The reaction from the dancefloors and fellow DJs has been crazy.

Luca Antolini The Race (Steve Hill &

Technikal Remix) HP

8.5

I really enjoy the music from all three artists in this collaboration, so don’t take it lightly when I say this exceeded my expectation. Steve Hill & Technikal have really captured the essence of the ‘90s hard trance vibe perfectly. Think mid-’90s EDM and Tunnel Records, and you won’t be far off-point.

www.djmag.ca

A hard, driving bassline and a euphoric melody make this a good track to finish your sets with.

Masters Elite Tied By Sound (Syndicate

Anthem) Masters Of Hardcore 9.0

You know this one is going to be rough when you see that it is the official anthem for the Dutch hardcore (gabber) super event, Syndicate. With brutal beats, a super dark “fuck the system”- themed vocal, and a spine- chillingly euphoric melody, this track is going to strike the fear of God into thousands of ravers at this landmark event and beyond. Not one for the faint-hearted.

The Pitcher

Music To Keep Me Alive Fusion 9.0

Almost a year after his hit ‘Ain’t Nobody’, the pioneer of the ‘pitched kick’ hardstyle sound of today is back with another vocal-driven track. Sublimely produced as you would expect, with an infectious vocal hook and anthemic riff, all wrapped up in raw kicks and screeches.

Wragg & Log:One vs Iain Cross Run For Cover (DJ Husband

Remix) Atmosphere Recordings 8.0

Australia’s newest super- producer DJ Husband takes on the already-huge ‘Run For Cover’. Keeping a hard techy vibe running throughout with some sinister sounds and top-end heavy shranzy percussive loops, this builds up well to the main break, with some cheeky acid thrown in before an epic breakdown delivers the nasty twisted main melody.
