Chester Finale
29th September, Chester Racecourse Don’t miss the final flutter at Chester Races this year as it is set to be one of the most entertaining events of them all. As well as the excitement of the races, guests will be treated to a parachute display by the RAF Falcons who will land just behind the Parade Ring. Manchester Literature Festival
8th -23rd October, Venues across Manchester If you’re an avid reader then you won’t want to miss this! Te festival line up includes upcoming, international and award-winning writers. Te Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy will be performing with poetry band Little Machine to launch proceedings and big names like Zadie Smith, Iain M Banks and Simon Armitage will be discussing their work. BFI London Film Festival
10th – 25th October, London Tis iconic film festival presents the best new British and international films to a UK-wide audience, last year attracting around 133,000 spectators. It is an important creative event that provides a platform for emerging film-makers and recognises outstanding work with awards across several categories such as feature film and documentary. Horse of the Year Show
3rd – 7th October, Birmingham NEC LG Arena An important date on the UK equestrian calendar, the Horse of the Year Show provides an exciting line up of events and entertainment as the best of Britain’s showing and show- jumping competitors fight for the most esteemed national titles. Other exciting displays include a dressage master class with Team GB individual dressage rider Richard Davison and Te Final Charge, a stunt riding extravaganza set on the battlefields of World War One. 12th October, Chester Racecourse Pavilions Suite Tis glamorous black tie event supports the amazing work done at Claire House, a hospice providing respite, end-of-life and bereavement care for children and young adults with complex medical needs. Tis year includes a raffle in which a £2,000 diamond, donated by Chique Jewellers, is to be given away to a lucky winner. In addition to this is an auction, which includes fantastic prizes such as a five night break in Mauritius (including flights) and tickets to Wimbledon for next year’s event.
