New appointments see Interfleet offer integrated cross-sector support


R


eflecting client demand for integrated cross-sector consultancy support, Interfleet has taken steps to significantly augment its capabilities in rail infrastructure and train-control systems. Several high-profile new appointments have been made over the last 12 months, alongside the ongoing development of Interfleet’s established rolling-stock engineering expertise.


Steve Limbert Iain Court


Iain Court, head of business development for infrastructure, is developing Interfleet’s services in track, electrification and power, built environment and consulting, enabling asset managers to maintain and enhance their fixed asset base in areas from outline planning and concept development, through to operation and maintenance. Court’s team is involved with a number of current infrastructure projects, for example the rebuilding of East Grinstead station. Several high-profile new


appointments have recently been made as Interfleet continues to build this area of the business.

Steve Limbert has joined the company as a technical director within Interfleet’s Electrification & Power team, bringing with him 30 years of experience in rail electrification projects, including the design and commissioning of a range of schemes in the UK and overseas. Ian Shaw and Andy Cobden have joined Interfleet’s Built Environment team. Shaw has a strong civil engineering background and eight years of multi- disciplinary project management experience. He has been involved in the successful delivery of schemes such as an upgrade of Neasden Depot in London, and survey and design work for Network Rail. Cobden has a strong background in civil engineering – he has successfully delivered significant elements of various multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, including station enhancement programmes and FTN and GSM-R projects. Principal consultant Tom Loades has joined Interfleet’s Infrastructure Consulting team. He has previously held several senior positions in the electrification discipline at British Rail, Railtrack and Network Rail, including

that of principal expert in remote control and operation of electrification traction systems. He has also had extensive involvement in the scheme to upgrade electrical supply systems on the West Coast Main Line.
