DAVID THOMSON Regional General Manager, Jebel Ali International Hotels
YOU MATTER: The majority of business for Jebel Ali International Hotels comes through travel agents and forms an integral part of the sales message. Travel agents are the voice of the company in our key markets and are essential in ensuring we are accurately represented.
THE BACK UP: We have a dedicated Sales Manager who looks after our travel trade partners and he is backed up by an International Sales Team, who solely focus on tour operators and travel agents in key countries. We also run a Travel Trade Facebook Page which currently has over 1000 members.
WHAT’S HOT? Our flagship property, Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is Dubai’s Only True Resort and offers a genuine all-
inclusive experience. The resort provides a varied choice of land and water activities and with the ‘Kids Go Free’ option, is an ideal choice for families. The UK is experiencing a growth in travellers who are opting for all inclusive so it’s fantastic that Dubai is now in a position to offer this.
WHAT’S ON? In October there will be a road show in the UK where we’ll be able to update our travel partners on the improvements we’re making to our properties as well as share news on company growth. An Online Travel Agent Training Programme is also due to launch later this year in three languages to assist travel agents with product knowledge.
REMEMBER THIS: Jebel Ali International Hotels is the only Dubai hotel chain with something for everyone. The unique portfolio of properties includes everything from all-inclusive to self- catering, ‘Kids Go Free’ to couples
getaways and beach resorts to mountain retreats.
IT’S REWARDING: Jebel Ali International Hotels offers a range of fantastic offers for travel agents including the current summer promotion, starting from £21 per person per night in the self-catering Oasis Beach Tower and £95 per person per night on all inclusive at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa. A travel agent incentive programme is planned for the company in 2013.
SALES SUCCESS: A travel agent at Barrhead Travel in Edinburgh recently spoke to a family who were looking for an all-inclusive holiday in St. Lucia. Product knowledge of the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa allowed her to list the benefits of travelling to Dubai where all-inclusive can still be experienced.
DID YOU KNOW? Jebel Ali International Hotels is a locally owned, Dubai-based hospitality chain which will be making numerous
changes to their operation in the coming years. The refurbishment of key properties and recent acquisition of both UAE and international hotels paint the picture of things to come.
COMING SOON The all-suite property, Palm Tree Court & Spa, located at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is set to add an additional 74 new suites and junior suites to its offering in October this year. Ocean View Hotel, a 4* beachfront property, in a central Dubai location is due to open at the start of 2013 as well as the company’s first international operation – Enchanted Island Resort in the Seychelles, also expected for early 2013.
