This year I was particularly pleased that we were able to secure a great mix of small, medium and larger tour operators and specialist operators from all of our key niche markets. How was TTM for you this year? TTM provides a good platform to present Layana Resort to UK buyers and an opportunity to update key partners; great exposure for the hotel and brand, plus an opportunity to show our support for TAT. Can you tell us a little about the Layana property? We are a small boutique adults-only resort which focuses on clients and attention to detail. We have only 50 rooms, including three beach suites and three ocean deluxe suites, on a fabulous beach – some argue the best on the island, but not far from neighbouring restaurants and bars. We have an ocean-facing stunning infinity swimming pool, library, Tides Restaurant, Linger Longer Spa and Sundowner Bar with a lounge. What sort of guests would Layana appeal to? Couples, honeymooners, special anniversaries, spa lovers or any clients looking for a retreat. How would you suggests travel agents sell it? For a relaxing break as a twin-centre with Krabi or Bangkok, but we are also ideal for the W&H market and spa breaks. What is the unique selling point of Layana? It’s a Trip Advisor award- winning adults-only property with a prime location on the beach. We also excel in service and attention to detail, with an intimate atmosphere. Can you tell us about any developments at the hotel? Layana will keep its original character and boutique size, but will go through a three-year upgrading programme. As a first step the award-winning Linger Longer Spa will be re-themed & renovated and a 350sqm two- bedroom pool villa added this year. Where should a UK travel agent go for more information on Layana? Our UK representative – Anand Collection – jas@anandcollection. co.uk for any sales training. www.layanaresort.com
