DE-CENTERED Over the last decade, the use of hotel meeting facilities has been increasing—in 2000, 34.9 percent of meetings met in hotels vs. 43 percent in 2010—while use of con- ference/exhibition centers has been decreasing: 37.4 per- cent at the start of the decade vs. 26.3 percent last year.
