ET ON ONE OF THE MOST exclusive beaches in Cancun, the former Hilton Cancun will debut as the IBEROSTAR Can- cún this December with an entirely new, all-inclusive resort experience for groups. A five- month, property-wide reno- vation will revamp everything

from the guest rooms to the meeting space, as well as add new restaurants and amenities to the resort’s 150 acres of tropical paradise. All of IBEROSTAR Cancún’s 426 guest rooms

feature ocean views, so every guest can wake up to a stunning view of the cerulean Caribbean sea. A range of accommodation options, all of which will receive upgrades during the renovation, include rooms with balco- nies, junior suites, villas, and master suites, as well as a presidential suite perfect for VIPs or small receptions. The renovation will add new amenities and activities to the resort

as well. A new teen club and water park will round out the already expansive pool complex — currently consisting of seven pools, including one infinity pool. Golfers of all levels can get their swing on at the resort’s golf club, Cancun’s only oceanfront 18-hole cham- pionship golf course. Guests who’d rather relax can opt for an indul- gent beachside massage or other signature service in one of the spa’s eight treatment rooms, and groups can de-stress together in the spa’s relaxation gardens. Come December, groups will find a number of new dining options

to experience, with the addition of three specialty restaurants: La Parrilla steakhouse; a Japanese restaurant, Naga Hibachi; and the gourmet La Horma. El Laguito, a buffet-style restaurant offering a variety of international cuisines, and Maguey, serving traditional Mexican fare, will be remodeled as well. Guests can also enjoy night- caps at the updated Robusto cigar bar and four other bars. After the renovation, IBEROSTAR Cancún’s meeting facilities,

convention center, the resort’s Peninsula Convention Center, offers 49,000 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space, including 22 meeting rooms and event space for up to 2,500 guests. More than 60,000 square feet of outdoor space will provide a stunning back- drop for teambuilding activities, special events, and cocktail recep- tions.
