What is your most memorable business travel trip and why? A recent trip to Barcelona. The business meetings were successful and I also got the chance to check out some of the highlights of this fantastic city.
What is your worst business travel experience and why? A trip to Middlesborough by train. The train pulled to a stop just south of the destination staying put for the next three hours. I missed the meeting and spent a total of 13 hours on a train!
What is your favourite destination worldwide and why? Morocco. I went for the first time last year with my family and we had a fantastic time. The souk in Marrakesh is an unforgettable experience, the weather is great and the food is superb.
What three items do you never leave home without when on business? My BlackBerry, gym kit and a good book.
What single thing could be done to improve your business travelling life? I could say quicker baggage collection or clearer signage to the taxi rank. There are various things that could improve my business travelling life but I’m not sure I would want to change these things as they are the factors that make a trip memorable. Every destination, airport, hotel and transport system is different and discovering how it all works is what makes travelling on business or any type of travelling so exciting, if a little frustrating!
What destination/s would you like to visit next and why? South America. It’s a place I have not really explored or travelled to on business. I would love to experience the differing cultures. Reed Travel Exhibitions are expanding in this region all the time with the launch of new and exciting exhibitions so you never know I may just get a chance to experience it!
