➔ Meeting venue's toy story THE REVIEW ›› THE MEETING PLACE

PLAYTIME is on the agenda for the drinks, pharmaceutical and computer companies flocking to the new meeting space at the latest conference hotel to open within the M25. The Legoland Windsor Resort

has six meeting rooms inside a private lounge and bar area called The Lego Suite, with free wifi internet access, lots of natural light and a fun element in its décor and diversions. The six spaces are split into

three syndicate rooms – Duck, Wheel and Brick – that can accommodate 15-35 people boardroom style, while the other three Creator rooms can be used separately (for 40 people each) or as one space for up to 320 delegates theatre-style. Incentives, conferences, exhib-

itions and team-building events are being targeted by this new venue, which opened in March. Beyond the 150-room property,

which is just inside the entrance to the theme park, are oppor- tunities for an evening drinks receptions at Star Wars Miniland, mid-week access to the whole park and even park close-downs for exclusive use. The Lego connection is played

down in the décor of the The Lego Suite and only 30 of the 150 guest bedrooms are fully Lego-themed, making the

majority of its portfolio suitable for the corporate sector. All rooms have flatscreen TVs, wifi and minibar. Elsewhere in the hotel is a pool, fitness room and numerous private dining options. There are also thousands of Lego models throughout. Twenty-four hour delegate

packages start from £190 and eight-hours from £65. Room rates start from £62.
