PROFILE

Jeannette Harrison has worked in the higher education sector specialising in business travel procurement for several years. During this time she has been influential in shaping The University of Nottingham’s business travel, expenses, card programme and e-systems procurement strategies – including purchase cards, electronic card reconciliation and authorisation system, lodge card programme and eCatalogue for commodity purchasing online. Jeannette has recently completed the

The deployment rationalised suppliers and introduced a tool for booking travel, importing travel expenditure into expenses, as well as claiming and authorising expenses online. In addition, she also rolled out a corporate card programme to all employees travelling on University business. Her previous experience within the

industry has included roles as a travel manager at WHSmith and business travel consultant at Meadows Travel. Jeannette is currently an editorial advisory board member for Public Sector Travel and has previously sat on the board of directors at ITM. Jeannette’s current role is category manager professional services at The University of Nottingham.

consolidate to one travel management company, implement an online booking tool, introduce a corporate card and lodge card programme, and introduce an online expense management tool.
