Taking inspiration from the catwalks, belts, quirky necklines and extra details have all been added to the Spring/Summer collection. Colourful belts and pretty bows have been added to give tunics an elegant and stylish twist.
Necklines have also been given an update this Spring with keyhole necklines, peter pan collars and square necklines all being key trends. Crossover tunics with stylish front fastenings with either circular or rectangular buttons offer a modern and fashionable addition to an ordinary tunic.
Adding other accessories such as belts, matching headscarves or headbands can easily update your salon wear and give therapists an on-trend look.
Dave Cottrell, Managing Director of La Beeby says: “Coloured belts are a perfect choice to give an alternative look to a tunic or dress, as well as having matching headbands and funky silicone fob watches.”
Dresses are back
Dresses are also seeing a big comeback with more and more salons and front of house receptionists opting for change from the classic tunic and trousers combination.
So don’t be scared to step away from your comfort zone and go for something that little bit different. If you are uneasy about bare legs then leggings are great accompaniment.
As well as being on trend, comfort and practicality is just as important. Angela Barbagelata Fabes, Chairman of The Carlton Group, comments: “A key consideration for any uniform is comfort. Work wear should be easy to move in and fabric should be breathable, so that the therapist can stay cool during treatments.
“The fabric should also be practical i.e. easy to wash and wear, as well as being durable. Above all the uniform should look good, so that the therapist can feel good and have a sense of pride in their appearance.”

monochrome move over
Inline London say Spring is all about the dresses and they have
introduced two new electric blue dress designs to their signature collection. Dresses offer a feminine alternative to trousers and tunics and can still be comfortable and stylish.
These sophisticated electric blue dresses (PS 930) are set to be a big hit and are both tailored with a nipped in waist with one having a beautiful waist tie that gives the design a flattering fit.
Their latest shoe range has also proven to be a great success with shoes being especially designed to address comfort at work with patented gel cushioned soles to absorb shock and reduce the pressure on your feet.
All the shoes are made from ultra-soft
leather which mould to the shape of your foot to provide the professional therapists with maximum comfort.
