Name: Melissa Dennis Position: Group Editor
Main duties: Overseeing the production of Irish Beauty, along with two UK beauty titles, and marketing of the Irish Beauty Show.
How long have you worked for IB? I've been working in the beauty industry for 10 years, and was appointed editor of Irish Beauty in May 2008.
What did you want to be when you were you were growing up? I always wanted to be a journalist, so I'm very lucky. Originally I would have liked to work in radio, and later as a Sports Reporter or War Correspondent - very different to what I'm doing now!
What would be your perfect day off work? If the weather was good I'd head out to the coast, if not then a day's shopping with an unlimited budget!
If you had €1000, what would you do with it? See above!
Favourite film: Breakfast at Tiffanys; I think every girl has a little of Holly Golightly in her.
Favourite holiday destination: Egypt; I've been twice with my sister and fell in love with Cairo and the Egyptian people.
Favourite song: Can't choose but I love ‘Manhattan Skyline’ by A-ha and ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay.
Favourite food / drink: I love Thai curries and Japanese sushi, with a peach bellini to drink.
Your three ‘Desert Island’ beauty products: Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant, a crystal nail file and an SPF50 as my skin doesn't like the sun.
