Gem is one of the largest retail service providers in the UK, providing an extensive and varied range of consoles, games, software, peripherals and consumer electronics into the retail channel. We also offer an unrivalled selection of added value services including; logistics, creative design solutions, category management, ready-made and configurable e-commerce technology, brand design and sourcing.
What are the biggest challenges you currently face? Future proofing our business so that we remain as agile and as proactive as we can be in offering our vast range of services to existing and new suppliers and retail customers. We also work hard to meet the acquisition targets set by our parent company. It’s an enviable position to be in, but the due diligence process of investigating desirable businesses both in the UK and abroad can be somewhat lengthy. It’s a great challenge to have.
What’s been your company’s key achievements over the past 12 months? The acquisition of Ztorm, adding a digital distribution proposition into our business to complement our physical business and further adding to our 360 degree range of services.
