PeoPle in the news OK International Names Gary Stoffer
Global Marketing Director Garden Grove, CA — OK International has appointed Gary Stoffer Director of Global Marketing, a new position in the company. Gary comes to the compa- ny to build upon the solid growth rate of the popular Metcal and OKi electron- ics assembly brands. He will be part of the company’s Leadership Team and will actively participate in the management of the sales effort in Asia. Gary joins OK International coming from Everett Charles Technologies (ECT), like OK International, a subsidiary of the Dover Corporation. He most recently held the position of Global Sales Director for the Contact Products Group, which manufactures compliant spring probes for the electronics assembly and semiconductor industries. Gary also has more than a decade of capital equip- ment sales management experience, with his last assignment as VP of Global Sales for atg-LM (another ECT company), based in Hong Kong for four years. His immediate objective will be to review the positioning of key technologies and sales processes to help refine the services for customers.
Ellsworth Adhesives Appoints Steve
Banas Gen’l Sales Mgr. Midwest Germantown, WI — Ellsworth Adhesives has hired Steve Banas as the Gen- eral Sales Manager for the Midwest Region. In his new role, Steve will focus on managing the Midwest Engineering Sales Representatives and expanding the company’s presence in the area. Steve’s primary responsibility will be to continue to grow Ellsworth’s business and enhance the company’s current cus- tomer service programs. Steve comes to Ellsworth from Henkel Loctite with 27 years of industrial engineering and sales experience. Steve replaces Bruce Church, who has taken the position of General Manager for Glue Dots Inter- national, an Ellsworth subsidiary.
Europlacer Names Debbie Merrill
Customer Operations Mgr. Tampa, FL — Europlacer has added a new member to its customer support team — Customer Operations Manager Debbie Merrill. In her position, Merrill will develop and implement high-level customer service initiatives to support the company’s fast-growing installed base of SMT pick-and-place and screen printer customers in North America. In addition, she will provide first level con- tact with the company’s customers, manage order processing, and perform office management and accounting support functions. Merrill has served in customer relationship building roles since 1997, gaining experience in customer service, inside sales and account management, most recently as account/project manag- er for ByDesign Technologies, Inc. She also has held positions as a client sup- port specialist for Universal Forest Products, Inc. and lead sales coordinator for the PMC Division of Rockbestos Surprenant Cable Corp.

Having spent nearly two decades in the PCB industry, Gene’s special expertise will now be put to work for K & F customers. Gene’s background includes overall PCB expertise, design knowledge, fabrication knowledge, and overall problem solving. He has earned a reputation in the industry for his money-saving design assistance, and innate ability to catch costly design flaws before products go to fabrication.

Ting New Global Marketing Manager Minneapolis, MN — CyberOptics Corporation has appointed Shen Hwang Ting as Global Marketing Manager. He will work out of the company’s Singa- pore office where the Inspection Systems Business is based. Shen Hwang will focus on evolving the marketing strategy for the Inspection Systems Business. Also, he will be responsible for managing the entire CyberOptics Inspection System product portfolio and will play a key role in shaping the short and long-term market requirements for the respective product lines.
