Ivor Fitzpatrick & Company was founded in 1981. Over the last 30 years, we have delivered a client- focused and value for money service providing high quality advice focused on flexible solutions to our clients. We have 90 staff including 47 fee earners and, as a medium-sized law firm, we dedicate our services and expertise to clients which require and receive total and full time commitment from our lawyers.

Our Dispute Resolution team is highly regarded as dynamic, experienced, focused on achieving results and minimising client risk as appropriate.
We have managed cases through all of the Irish court levels, from District Court to Supreme Court and in particular the Commercial Court. Where appropriate, we also guide clients through alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation, conciliation and arbitration.
We act for private corporations, financial institutions and state bodies and have one of the largest debt recovery departments in the Ireland. We also act for many UK and overseas-based businesses.
Our partner Deirdre Courtney, with over 20 years’ experience, leads the Dispute Resolution group. Deirdre has worked on many complex cases involving Tribunals of Inquiry, shareholder disputes, and multi-million euro actions both in

alternative dispute resolution arena and in the Commercial Court. Our partner Dympna Murphy is also highly experienced and has a particular specialisation in administrative law, judicial review, employment law and commercial litigation.
In recent years the firm has developed specialist groups of lawyers to deal with the particular needs of
financial
institutions since the banking crisis developed in 2008.

• Acting for domestic and overseas clients in respect of challenges to procurement processes for contracts worth up to €50,000,000.
• Acting for property developers in respect of a shareholders dispute including a mediated settlement of €55 million value.
