The Rock Has Landed
From iPads for talkback and being the first full adopters of Final Cut Pro X to an end-to-end 8Gb Fibre workflow, Green Rock leads the way in technical providence.
Green Rock projects include: Channel 4’s Album Chart Show, Channel 4’s 360 Sessions, (produced by 3DD Productions) BAFTA Nominated “Karate Kids” (BBC - produced by Walsh Bros.), Rose d’Or nominated Sofa Surfers, 2011 Grierson runner: Tory Boy the Movie, as well as Video Killed the Radio Star, In Conversation, Discovering Lennon and Discovering Hamlet for Sky Arts, also produced by 3DD.
Green Rock was founded in August 2008 by Simon Rigden Green as a single suite installation in Kings cross, specialising in post-production for broadcast TV, corporate and viral content. Over the subsequent years, in collaboration with MediaPros, Green Rock has grown to six suites, including voiceover and grading facilities with one of the most modern technical workflows to date.
James Dancer, Business Manager at MediaPros commented “Working with Simon has been fantastic – he’s one of the most open minded clients we have to date, willing to experiment and try anything new that will help his workflow, increase productivity and turnaround time with a completely fearless attitude towards new technology”. Green Rock began with a single Final Cut Studio 3 suite in King’s Cross, which was quickly upgraded to a multi-suite environment with grading capabilities (using Apple’s Color) over Sonnet’s 8Gb RX1600Fibre system and XSAN SAN file system to allow enough bandwidth for multi-cam editing on Green Rock’s many music projects.
As a result of partnering with 3DD and Walsh Bros., the forces have combined on occasion to produce some fantastic shows for BBC, Channel 4 and Sky.
